With further reference to letter No. 13348/14
from this Department and your reply No. 14531/14 of the
19th of May last
respecting the property of George Ford, deceased, I
am directed by Secretary Sir E. Grey to transmit,
for
the information of Mr. Secretary Harcourt, copy of a
letter from the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's
Treasury.
In view of Their Lordships' decision, Sir E. Grey
presumes that Mr. Secretary Harcourt, on behalf of
the Government of Hongkong, will now waive any claim
that may exist in respect of the moveable property of
the estate.
